Membership in the Association is categorized in three ways:

• Regular Members--Sworn, current or retired law enforcement personnel who are or were actively involved in Crisis/Hostage negotiations, training or interventions may apply for membership.
• Associate Members--Non-sworn Mental Health Professional, electronic surveillance/technical specialist or tactical officer for a law enforcement agency who are of good character and standing.
• Non-sworn associate members must be sponsored by a regular member.

Associate members shall not have voting rights.

Honorary Members--The Executive Committee may invite selected persons to be honorary, non-voting members based on outstanding contributions to the Association or the discipline.

Membership Dues for both regular and associate members are $25.00 per year. Collection of dues begins in August and renders membership valid until September 1 of the following year.
